FISH CAMP

LEWIS LAKE, located three miles outside of Bartow, off Highway 242, is an old-fashioned fish camp with motel-style rooms and a restaurant that overlooks a man-made lake, which was created in the 1850s.  The lake originally powered Tarver's Mill, one of General Sherman's documented stops on his infamous March Through Georgia.  For rates and other information, call (478)364-3131.
